Equality Design is a not-for-profit group of friendly and motivated teenagers, hoping to combat the racial injustice in our local communities. Our goal is to spread awareness on topics regarding race and make a positive impact in our areas of service by generating accessible and relevant content on various media platforms.
The reality of racism can no longer be ignored. Large communities of our brothers and sisters face barriers to access education, employment, health, justice and culture. Things we might take for granted, but for others are difficult to obtain simply because of the color of their skin. When people are discriminated against for their identity, we know something has to change.
Equality Design creates a safe platform for those who are harmed by racial inequality to share their experiences, and for those in a position to make change to learn about the effects of racial injustice. Through social media uploads, blog posts, video production and much more, spreading awareness is our key goal.
